Has anyone seen "Hiroshima Mon Amour"? I read the book, and thought the movie was very very good, just watched it last night. Directed by Alain Resnais, who directed another film I was impressed with - "Nuit et Brouillard", a film about the Auschwitz concentration camp.
On a side note, has anyone seen the film "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not"? Avec Audrey Tatou. Bought it, but haven't watched it yet...

Re: Various films
Sun, October 3, 2004 - 8:15 PMI saw Hiroshima again a few weeks ago. I enjoyed it more than when I was younger. I recommend listening to the comments on the DVD. -

Re: Various films
Mon, October 4, 2004 - 9:29 AMHiroshima is top 15 for me. I just think it's incomparable... it's raw and honest and experimental without being obtuse or abrasive. it's pure poetry on film, in the tradition of Cocteau.

If one could capture "Moni: a novel of Auschwitz" on film
Mon, March 19, 2007 - 3:58 AMFor a literary picture of life in Auschwitz, read "Moni: a novel of Auschwitz" by Ka–Tzenik 135633. Here's a link from what I've read so far:

I imagine it would be difficult, but the result would interesting and if successful, a great accomplishment.

Tue, March 20, 2007 - 12:47 PMJohn, I'd love to watch it again cause it's been years, if you want we could get together and do that, just a thought!
I am so behind on my movies and so many I've seen but grew up since that I want/need to watch again.
Let me know what you think.

Tue, March 20, 2007 - 3:44 PMI've never seen "Hiroshima Mon Amour", which I believe you are referring to. I'd love to. I happily accept your offer.
As for Moni, a google search on Moni + KaTzenik + film yields no cinematic entries.

Re: If one could capture "Moni: a novel of Auschwitz" on film
Mon, March 19, 2007 - 10:25 PMi admit it is pretty exceptional, but i have a problem with hair in the gate, not sure why, because the content far surpases the medium- maybe, not inarguablly though.
